honeymoon - part III

On our last day in New York, we headed about 40 min north of the city to Tarrytown (AKA Sleepy Hollow) in the Hudson River Valley. Tarrytown is where Washington Irving, who wrote The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, is from. Didn't get a chance to see his home, but hear it's a cute little spot.

What we did see is the Rockefellers' summer home, Kykuit, which is perched on probably the highest point of the town. It has a breathtaking view of the valley that I tried my best to drink up fully.

Sleepy Hollow
Philipsburg Manor - a 17th century Dutch-style manor house, barn and gristmill.

honeymoon - part II

Some shots from our 3 days in Fire Island over 4th of July. So in love with that place. Would be fantastico to go back with some friends...heaven!

Since there are no cars, everyone uses bikes & wagons for transporting people and things. :)
The main town on Fire Island, Ocean Beach, had a cute, down-home July 4th parade.
Fun homemade floats.
Walking around Point O'Woods
Sunset stroll

Went to New York for our honeymoon and thought I'd share some snapshots. Here are some from our time in the city. :)

Singing at the piano bar with Rick. Any man that owns a Doris Day clothing collection is a friend of mine.
